Visiting our Ranch

A visit to Old Magee Ranch is an opportunity to experience 320 acres historic ranch and citrus/avocado orchards located in Northeast San Diego County in CA. We are a working ranch and offer educational and fun experiences to our visitors who will participate in friendly “discovery” and learning activities in natural and agricultural settings. This includes a guided tour around the ranch to observe ranch activities in a working farm setting. We offer lots of other activities such as incredible mountains and ocean views with great photo opportunities, bird watching, spending some time observing our sheep at work (they do a great job in organic weed control), tasting our most flavorful oranges, grapefruit, and avocados, freshly squeezed orange juice, and delightful orange marmalade. Also taste our wonderful artisan water with naturally occurring high Ph of 8.7 (don’t forget to bring your own bottle to fill and take home). More….

We now offer both private and group tours.  Touring our ranch is an activity the whole family can enjoy! It provides exercise, lots of fresh air and something to take home. Come visit us and try our organically grown navels, valencias, grapefruit, and avocados. We start harvesting navels in January and finish in May. Then, June brings valencias, grapefruit, and avocados which are harvested throughout December.

You are more than welcome to bring your own snacks or lunches (lunch can be provided for an additional fee). After the tour we have outdoor picnic tables where you can sit down, relax and enjoy. So, come visit us to have an unforgettable experience!

Group Tours: Tour groups of maximum of 25 people are welcome 6 days a week. Prior reservation is required. Click here to learn more…..
